** Internship will be 20 hours per week for approximately 6 months **
Assist Health Promotion and Wellness team in event planning, coordination, and staffing. Help to research trends in market, write communication, assist with special projects.
Assist Wellness Consultants materials and reporting.
Research trends and health legislation and complete a competitive analysis.
Create and update Health Challenges and Campaigns.
Create preventative tool kits.
Event Planning and implementation: Inspire, Mammography, Fan Challenge, Schools Challenge – materials, tracking, invitations and other event details.
Event Staffing (some evenings and weekend hours).
Attend and participate on the Employee Wellness Committee.
Update SharePoint Site.
Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Experience: This is an intern-level position so does not require work experience, but does require educational experience in the field of Health Promotion, Health Sciences, or related degree program.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: The intern will be in a collegiate level Health Promotions/Health Science or related program from an accredited collegiate institution. Junior or senior level status is preferred.
Knowledge: Successful candidate will compile data and run reports, will work directly with the Health Promotion and Wellness Department on projects and events. The intern will assist in Health Life Community Initiatives and assist the Wellness Consultants; will be directly involved with the Mobile Mammography project and Inspire, and will write communication as needed for various projects and events.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time.
