This professional position is responsible for recreational, leisure and therapeutic activities. The position will function as a member of the treatment team interacting with patients in activities designed to fulfill individualized treatment goals within a psychosocial rehabilitative program and therapeutic milieu.
The basic work schedule is 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Days and hours may change on an interim basis for clinical/programmatic needs.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of recreational and therapeutic activity programs.
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, set-up, participate and maintain equipment used in recreational/leisure activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation administration, recreational therapy, or related field
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred.
- Bi-Lingual Spanish speaking a plus.
