Chubb is the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer. With operations in 54 countries, Chubb provides commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance to a diverse group of clients. The company is distinguished by its extensive product and service offerings, broad distribution capabilities, exceptional financial strength, underwriting excellence, superior claims handling expertise and local operations globally.
As a member of Chubb’s Actuarial Team, you will help evaluate business opportunities in a given market by collecting data to identify the potential profitability and possible pitfalls. Typically, the team will base its analysis on the demand the business may create, the price required to deliver a reasonable rate of return, and the potential effect of claims on the company’s profitability. Armed with this data, our actuaries advise top management on ways to balance the anticipated with the unexpected. As your actuarial career progresses at Chubb, you will also work on projects that include extensive statistical analysis, pricing, loss reserving, research, planning and forecasting and risk analysis.
The Professional Associate Program, located in our Whitehouse Station, NJ headquarters, combines on-the-job training with seminars and formal training, rotational opportunity, and time off to study for the Casualty Actuarial Society’s (CAS) series of professional examinations.
