The University of Nevada, Reno – Business and Finance Office is seeking candidates for a full-time administrative faculty position. The Manager, Campus Audit reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Business and Finance and is responsible for developing, planning, performing and supervising complex internal audits of campus departments and special investigations to ensure compliance with federal, state, Board of Regents and university policies, laws and regulations. Develops detailed audit plans and programs used to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. Performs audits in accordance with developed plans, documents audit procedures and prepares comprehensive written reports and develops correction action plans. Coordinates external audit activities and responses with regulatory agencies, NSHE Internal Audit, and other organizations. The Manager provides leadership and supervises audit staff, including assigning projects and reviewing work papers and reports, provide status updates, and coordinate management reviews and follow up of managment’s questions and concerns.

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a major in accounting, tax, finance, business administration, public administration or a related field and a minimum of five years (three years with a Master’s degree) of experience with government, university or public financial and/or operational auditing experience, including management of an audit department and/or complex audits for large organizations with leadership and/or supervisory responsibilities.
Certified Public Accountant ( CPA ), Certified Internal Auditor ( CIA ), Certified Management Accountant ( CMA ), Chartered Accountant (CA), or other similar equivalent financial certification.
Proficiency using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
