First Data is currently looking for a motivated Intern to participate in a 15 week Spring Internship, focused in Human Resources. Our program offers talented college students an opportunity to go beyond the classroom to develop leadership skills and gain meaningful hands on experience working as part of a global support team with professionals across the enterprise. Job Specific Responsibilities
The intern will perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental projects or reports; offering innovative suggestions; accompany professional level employees on assignments; request or give information and other related duties as assigned. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the organization. Specific activities vary by assignment. Candidate Requirements

Program Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university program
  • Incoming Junior or Senior students
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Must pass drug test/background check

Additional Requirements:

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of achievement in academic or non academic activities
  • Ambitious, motivated and driven
  • Experienced in the use of basic PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Visio, SharePoint, or GoToMeeting a plus
  • Be forward thinking and action oriented
  • Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate a sense of accountability and excellence Preferred Qualifications A wide range of college majors are considered based on specific needs of department such as: Finance, Business Administration, IT, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Communications, or equivalent military experience.
