The Legal Aid Society has an opening for the full-time position of Human Resources Administrator. The focus of this position is customer service and special projects aimed at enhancing employee benefits offerings, and employee education/communication. The HR Administrator handles staff attorney loan forgiveness-related tasks, performs complex clerical duties, and researches and responds to staff and vendor inquiries.In this position, you will: respond to staff inquiries; monitor compliance calendar for non-union retirement plans; complete data entry of various benefits; schedule Health & Safety Committee meetings, serve as recording secretary for those meetings, and follow up on action items; serve as coordinator for various benefits programs; assist in the completion of proposals for employee benefits programs; prepare periodic reports as needed; research and report on healthcare and employee benefits trends; recruit interns and volunteers for administrative departments; assist with various department audits; and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate must have: excellent customer service skills; excellent communication and writing skills; the ability to draft written communication and research subject matter if needed; the ability to work in a team setting; excellent MS Office skills; must be able to create and edit documents; excellent analytical and problem solving skills; and a Bachelors Degree and/or 3-4 years of previous Human Resources experience. Prior ADP experience preferred.
