Enterprise Architect

Designs architectural roadmaps for enterprise architecture, in accordance with enterprise strategies and enterprise architecture processes, while analyzing client requirements and collaborating with R&D divisions to provide ongoing support.
Designs enterprise architectural roadmaps, and aligns these with enterprise strategies, business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, processes and methodologies.
Analyzes change requirements and IT opportunities in enterprise business processes; provides resolutions for enterprise architecture improvements by utilizing new technological applications.
Provides advice and explanations for customers in business process design and system development, including application architecture and integration architecture.
Works with other enterprise architecture staff, experts and decision makers to accurately define client requirements; provides ongoing support for data, applications and system client requests.

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) – Extensive Experience
Knowledge of and ability to use this universal framework released by ‘The Open Group’ to effectively plan, develop and govern enterprise architecture.

Knowledge of the organization’s industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Emerging Technologies – Extensive Experience
Knowledge of and ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for business environments in order to improve work productivity and accuracy.
Service Oriented Architecture Technologies – Extensive Experience
Knowledge of the technologies used to enable excellent IT service for business clients; ability to develop, implement and support a variety of such technologies.

Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking – Extensive Experience
Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions.
