Currently seeking candidates with experience assisting individuals with government programs such as, but not limited to, Medicaid, SSI, TANF, County Indigent and Crime Victims. The successful candidate will have experience in positions such as patient advocate, Texas Works Advisor, SSI representative or caseworker.
PLEASE NOTE: PRIOR GOVERNMENT PROGRAM EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
Knowledgeable about government resource information and referral procedure for staff to use.
Assesses participants and determines family level of need and priority for in-depth case management services.
Maintain flow of forms to designated sources.
Keep updated on resources and program information.
Provide excellent customer to all served.
Achieve an acceptable level of proficiency in computer. Update skills as computer programs are revised Qualifications
High school graduate
Must type a minimum of 40 WPM with 100%
Knowledgeable of HIPAA and EMTALA
Knowledgeable of government assisted healthcare programs such as Medicaid, County Indigent, TANF, SSI, etc.
Must meet productivity and quality standards set forth by ECI
Skilled in use of keyboard and Microsoft products/format
Knowledge of healthcare and/or government assisted medical programs
A bachelors degree from an accredited school plus 2 years experience with Texas Department of Health and Human Services
Experience casework and/or case management in a human services agency
Previous supervisory experience highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
