Assist and problem solve for general and routine issues for faculty and students regarding academic related issues; serve as receptionist for department including scheduling use of adjunct office, telephone duties and greeting visitors; act as liaison between faculty and students; assist faculty with preparation for class such as ordering examination copies, copying, scanning, compilation of tests, schedule and administer make-up exams, etc.
Communicate with faculty on semester office hours to ensure website in current and provide copies to faculty support. Compile and distribute FSU e-mail list of Tallahassee and local Panama City adjuncts to confirm receipt of relevant e-mails sent by Admission & Records regarding semester information. Run Scantron test sheets; contact students for cancelled classes or meetings; post notices as needed; ensure faculty have all the tools and materials for a smooth work day; purchase, receive, and maintain office supplies.
Maintain copiers and general office needs; Process appointments for graduate assistants and teaching assistants including background checks. Coordinate faculty course evaluations; process appointment memos and background checks for adjuncts. Track and monitor ABA graduate student hours worked and send monthly spreadsheet to students; ABA check reconciliation; process facility use requests. Other duties as required by the department.
High school diploma or equivalent and two of years working in an office setting environment.
(Note: Vocational/technical training in a related area may substitute at an equivalent rate.)
Experience in general office practices and procedures and ability to operate standard office equipment.
Good telephone etiquette, mathematical and receptionist skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle issues with confidentiality.
Good organizational and problem solving skills; effective customer service skills.
Must have working knowledge of standard computer applications including Microsoft Office.

Anticipated Salary Range
Department anticipates hiring in the low to mid $20,000 range; salary is commensurate with education and experience.
