AMSEC Computer Systems Architect 4 (NX Subject Matter Expert)

Position Specifics: Candidate must have proven experience as a Siemens NX Subject Matter expert with advanced skills across the NX product suite: Routing, Assembly Modeling, Advance modeling and surfacing techniques. Prepare documentation and records to support associated engineering analysis, interface descriptions and reviews. Provide CAD modeling and data management support utilizing NX version 10 and later.

  • Produce or modify configuration and detailed 3D models at varying levels of assembly structure.
  • Provide answers to NX and/or Teamcenter questions on usage issues.
  • Assist PLM Solution Architects as requested with documenting requirements gathering, gap analysis and best practices documentation.
  • Writing detailed notes describing technical issues, software defects and investigations.
  • Serve as a mentor and/or focal point for specific focus/specialty areas of NX.
  • Provide technical assistance to other team members to assist in resolving difficult customer issues.
  • Respond to Incident Reports received by the Global Technical Access Center (GTAC) which require investigation of Teamcenter software problems related to mis-configuration or product defects.
  • Derive visualization products from models for purposes of presentation and communication.
  • Technical leadership to troubleshoot system level issues.
  • Author various levels of test scripts and assist PLM Solution Architects as requested to validate all deliverables.
  • Assist PLM Solution Architects as requested with documenting requirements gathering and gap analysis.
  • Writing detailed notes describing technical issues, software defects and investigations.
  • Assist in testing and verification of Teamcenter software fixes during the Teamcenter and/or NX release cycles
  • Work closely as a coordinator with Teamcenter and/or NX Product development as needed to support Problem Reports and Enhancement Requests.
  • Lead and/or assist with initial requirements outlines and converting requirements to test scripts.

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Basic Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors; 7 years relevant experience with Masters. An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed with the job’s education requirements. Example: If this job required a Bachelor’s degree + 5 years relevant experience the equivalency would equal HS diploma + 9 years job related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Teamcenter customization in RAC & ITK
  • Experience in SOA Web Services, XML, CSS
  • Experience with Workflow handlers, Data Model configuration and customization, use of change management process
  • Java/J2EE development experience
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Analysis
  • Proven experience in providing integrated solutions for a complex engineering IT systems.
  • Proven experience in implementing large scale PLM projects.
  • Proven experience with Teamcenter/NX Migration projects.
  • Experience working in a cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services or Windows Azure.
  • Previous background in CAD including knowledge of NX and Teamcenter integration for NX would be a plus.
  • Proven interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills TC Integration with SAP/SRM systems and SSO experience a plus
